Russians have already killed 489 children in Ukraine
In Ukraine, 489 children were killed and 1,026 more were injured as a result of the Russian full-scale invasion.
"As of the morning of June 18, 2023, more than 1,515 children were killed and injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information from juvenile prosecutors, 489 children were killed and more than 1,026 received injuries of various degrees of severity," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Facebook.
As noted, the numbers are not final as efforts are ongoing to establish casualties in the areas of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were killed and injured in Donetsk region – 465, Kharkiv region – 284, Kyiv region – 129, Kherson region – 113, Zaporizhzhia region – 91, Mykolaiv region – 89, Dnipropetrovsk region – 81, Chernihiv region – 71, Luhansk region – 67.
On June 17, on the road between Oleshky town and Sahy village, Kherson region, the enemy fired at a civilian car, killing a man and his 15-year-old son. Also, on June 17, a 17-year-old boy was injured in the Russian shelling of Kozatske village, Kherson region.
