Russians shell seven border villages of Sumy, Chernihiv regions — OC North

As of 11:00 on June 18, the Russian troops shelled seven border settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy regions with mortars and artillery, launching a total of 63 strikes.

This was reported by the Operational Command North on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The invaders attacked Chernihiv region twice. In particular, from 23:40 to 00:00, 26 hits were recorded in Bleshnia area; presumably 82 mm mortars were employed.

From 06:30 to 06:40, three shots were fired, presumably the same weapon, in Karpovychi area.

The Russian army shelled Sumy region five times.

From 01:25 to 01:35, three hits, presumably a 120-mm mortar, were recorded in Rozhkovychy district, and from 04:40 to 04:45 - three hits in Tovstodubove district.

From 04:25 to 04:35, the Russians launched 10 strikes, likely 82 mm mortars, in Bachivsk area, and from 06:10 to 06:25, 12 strikes were recorded in Seredyna-Buda area.

From 06:35 to 06:45, there were six hits, presumably barrel artillery, in Porokhonia area.

There has been no information about losses among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russians shelled the border area of Sumy region 12 times at the night and in the morning, destroying private houses.
