Father and son killed in Russia’s shelling of Sumy region

Two civilians - a father and his son - were killed as the Russian forces shelled Sumy region.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The Russians again shelled the border area of Sumy region. Today, as a result of the artillery shelling of Bilopillia city, two civilians - a father and his son - were killed," the report says.

“The enemy is once again striking Sumy region. Russian terrorists cynically use their weapons against civilians, having lost everything human a long time ago. The enemy once again confirmed its criminal intentions - to eliminate our people. Rashism will not be able to remain unpunished evil. There will be punishment! Be sure to answer. For every lost life of Ukrainians," said Volodymyr Artiukh, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of 11:00 on June 18, Russian troops shelled seven border settlements of Chernihiv and Sumy regions with mortars and artillery, launching a total of 63 strikes.
