Russian army shells Kherson region 72 times over 24 hours - two killed, eight wounded

Over the last day, June 21, the Russian army fired 72 times at Kherson region, killing two people and wounding eight others.

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the last day, the enemy made 72 attacks, firing 345 shells from mortars, artillery, ATGM, UAVs, Grad and aircraft. The enemy fired 15 shells at the city of Kherson," - the statement reads.

The Russian military hit residential areas of the region's settlements, the territory of a service station and the buildings of two educational institutions in Kherson.

"Two people were killed and eight others were injured as a result of Russian aggression," Prokudin said.

As Ukrinform reported, on the afternoon of June 20, Russian troops fired at rescuers in Kherson who were clearing silt. One rescuer was killed and eight others were injured.
