Ukrainian forces continue offensive actions in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions - General Staff

The defense forces continue to conduct offensive actions in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

The spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Kovalov said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"The Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct offensive actions in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, namely in the directions of Novodanylivka - Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka - Verbove, Vilne Pole – Makarivka," he said.

The spokesman emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers are consolidating their positions.

According to Kovalov, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on defense and preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops, using reserves and trying to regain the lost ground.

As reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated seven settlements in the Zaporizhzhia direction, regaining control over 103 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. The advance of Ukrainian units deep into the enemy's defense ranged from 3 to 6.5 km.
