Russians injured 1,023 children in Ukraine since war-start

As a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression, 490 children have been killed and 1,028 more injured in Ukraine.

“As of the morning of June 22, 2023, more than 1,518 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 490 children were killed and more than 1,028 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said in a post on Telegram.

It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region - 466, Kharkiv region - 284, Kyiv region - 129, Kherson region - 113, Zaporizhzhia region – 91, Mykolaiv region - 89, Dnipropetrovsk region – 81, Chernihiv region – 71, and Luhansk region – 67.

On Wednesday, June 21, an 11-year-old boy was injured in enemy artillery shelling of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

As reported by Ukrinform, in Ukraine, since Russia’s full-scale invasion, 560 children are considered missing.
