Shelling of Kherson and region: Four local residents, two volunteers injured
Four local residents and two volunteers were injured in Russia’s shelling of Kherson region on June 22. The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Under the procedural leadership of Kherson and Oleshky district prosecutor's offices, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war," the report says.
According to the investigation, on June 22, around 12:30, the Russians forces from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region fired artillery at the regional center. The Russian military also opened fire on settlements in the Bilozirka community.
The prosecutor's office reported that four local residents and two volunteers, who came to Kherson region to provide social assistance to people, were injured in the shelling.
Two of the injured are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives.
As Ukrinform reported, on June 22, an 86-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were injured in Kherson region, doctors are fighting for their lives - they came under enemy shelling in their own yard.
Student volunteers from Rivne, who were helping Kherson people, also came under enemy fire. These are two young men, 25 and 23 years old. They have moderate injuries, medics are providing them with medical care.
