Active hostilities to continue next 2-3 months - Defence Intelligence

Active hostilities will continue at the front in the near future, and an assessment of the Russian Federation's capabilities will be conducted in mid-summer.

Deputy Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Let's not predict for the whole year. I will say this: in the next 2-3 months there will be active hostilities. Both offensive and defensive because our strategic goal is the liberation of all our territories," Skibitskyi said.

According to him, Russian troops will try to accomplish those tasks "to say whether they have finished their 'special military operation' or not."

"However, we will focus on the middle of summer - whether the enemy will be able to fulfill its plans for modernization, regrouping, formation of new formations, units, and how they will be reformed," Skibitskyi said.

He reminded that the Russian command has already officially announced the reform and restoration of the Leningrad and Moscow military districts. "After that, it will be possible to assess the capabilities of the Russian Federation and predict the possible nature of Russia's actions for the autumn-winter campaign," added the Deputy Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

As reported, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said that the Defense Forces stopped the enemy's offensive on the Kupiansk and Lyman directions.
