Missile attack on Kyiv: three dead, eight injured by debris

In Kyiv, three residents died and eight were injured as a result of the missile debris failing on a 24-storey apartment block in the Solomyanskyi district.

That’s according to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, who delivered an update on the aftermath of the Russian attack via Telegram.

"As of now, three people are reported dead and eight - injured. Twenty-four people have been rescued by the State Emergency Service," the minister emphasized.

Rescuers and police remain at the scene. The survivors and families of the victims are being provided with psychological assistance, Klymenko said.

He emphasized that the scene had been cordoned off and booths have been set up for citizens to file incident reports.

"We are especially waiting for reports of missing persons. Since we have unidentified victims, DNA analysis is required," the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, as a result of the missile strike targeting Kyiv, 11 people sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. Three of them were hospitalized.
