Ukraine’s air defense units down two Kalibr missiles, seven Shahed drones
On the night of June 26, 2023, Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed two Russian Kalibr-type cruise missiles and seven Shahed-type unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs).
The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Last night Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine’s territory mainly from the south.
“Three Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from a submarine in the Black Sea and eight Shahed-136/131 Iranian-produced UCAVs from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov,” the report states.
The South Air Command downed two Kalibr missiles and seven Shahed drones.
Additionally, the enemy attacked Ukraine’s territory from the northern direction with four unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (presumably UCAVs). All of them were destroyed within the operational area of the Center Air Command.
A reminder that Russian troops are focusing efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka directions. Thirty-six military clashes have occurred there over the past day.
