Counteroffensive in east resulted in advance of 1 to 2 kilometers - Malyar

At the end of last week, Ukrainian troops launched counter-offensives in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Yahidne, Klishchiyivka and Kurdyumivka, and in each direction they have advanced from 1 to 2 km.

Hanna Malyar, the Deputy Minister of Defense, said this in a statement on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

She said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted both defensive and offensive operations in the east over the past week and had tactical success.

The enemy attacked at the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. Heavy fights are still going on there. Over the past week, about 250 combat engagements took place in these areas, emphasized Malyar.

Russians tried to push Ukrainian troops out of their positions, but failed, she emphasized.

"The enemy made 6457 attacks in the east over the past week and launched 315006 rounds of ammunition. Compared to the previous week, the number of attacks increased," noted the Deputy Minister.

At the same time, at the end of last week, the Defense Forces launched counter-offensives in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Yahydne, Klishchiyivka and Kurdyumivka. In each direction, the advance is between 1 and 2 kilometers. Now the troops are consolidating their positions and continue to destroy the enemy.
