Man killed, woman injured as Russians attack village in Donetsk region

Russian troops have opened fire on the Volnovakha district’s village of Novyi Komar in the Donetsk region. One civilian was reported killed and one injured.

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office Anastasiia Miedviedieva in a commentary to Suspilne, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A man, 56, was killed in the enemy shelling, and his wife, 53, was injured. She was taken to hospital. The enemy projectile caused damage to the walls and roof of the house. A fire broke out at the scene,” Miedviedieva told.

According to the preliminary data, Russians attacked the village with artillery.

A reminder that, on June 25, 2023, three civilians were injured in Russia’s shelling of the Donetsk region.
