President holds Staff meeting at Rivne NPP

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a visiting meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff at the Rivne NPP to assess any possible threats to the plant on the site.

“Reports by Zaluzhny and Budanov about the operational situation on the Belarusian border and possible actions of the enemy. Klymenko, Nayev, Lebid, Deyneko about strengthening the northern direction and protecting NPPs. Head of Rivne Regional Military Administration Koval and the Volyn commander Myronyuk about the defensive lines and the social and economic situation in the region. Shchyhol – about the protection of the Rivne NPP from cyber threats,” the President posted on Telegram.

President of Energoatom Petro Kotin and Director of the Rivne NPP Pavlo Kovtonyuk also took part in the meeting.

“We're monitoring the situation very closely,” the President stressed.

As reported, Zelensky stated that Russia technically prepared everything for a local explosion at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and can commit it to stop the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian troops and put political pressure on Kyiv through some partners.
