President Zelensky visits Odesa region, meets with Navy Commander Neizhpapa

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is paying a visit to the Odesa region to discuss the interim results and prospects for the development of the naval drone program and the missile program.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today – Odesa region.  A report by the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa. Many important topics. The operational situation in the Black Sea, the defense capabilities of the Navy, the development strategy of the Ukrainian Navy during the war and in the post-war period,” Zelensky wrote.

According to the Head of State, during the meeting, they discussed the interim results and prospects for the development of the naval drone program and the missile program.

The Office of the President of Ukraine noted that Neizhpapa had briefed the President on the operational situation in the Black Sea, the enemy’s capabilities to launch missile strikes from the sea, and the defense capabilities of the Navy.

Neizhpapa also spoke of the strategy of development of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the time of war and in the post-war period.

In addition, the Navy Commander told the President of Ukraine about the work to create a Marine Corps.
