War update: Ukraine’s Air Force launches 13 strikes on enemy clusters

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 13 strikes on enemy personnel clusters, three – on air defense missile systems, and one – on a Russian command post.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Ukrainian military destroyed five enemy reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit one Russian personnel, ammunition and military equipment cluster, four ammunition depots, 18 artillery systems in firing position, three air defense missile systems and two electronic warfare systems.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have launched a missile strike on the Kharkiv region’s Pervomaiskyi and Bilyi Kolodiaz. Additionally, the enemy launched 47 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 59 times. Russian terrorist attacks harmed civilians and caused damage to residential houses, household and administrative buildings, cars.

The threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine, according to the General Staff.

Russian troops are mainly focusing on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Fierce battles are underway. Forty military clashes have occurred there over the past day.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian invaders are maintaining military presence. The enemy intensified sabotage reconnaissance activities within the areas bordering with Ukraine. Over the past day, Russian troops have attacked over 15 settlements with artillery and mortars.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers attempted to carry out offensive actions to the south of the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske. Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Odradne, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Masiutivka and Kyslivka.

In the Lyman direction, with the support of aviation, Russian invaders made attempts to push Ukrainian forces away from their positions to the west of Novovodiane and to the south of the Luhansk region’s Dibrova. Over 10 settlements were affected by Russian artillery strikes.

In the Bakhmut direction, under extensive enemy air and artillery strikes, Ukrainian defenders repelled all Russian attacks near the Donetsk region’s Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Bohdanivka. Ukrainian warriors continue offensive actions to the south and north of Bakhmut, and are gaining foothold within the re-captured frontiers. Over 15 settlements came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue holding the enemy’s offensive back near the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka. Over 10 settlements were affected by Russian artillery strikes.

In the Marinka direction, under enemy artillery strikes, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the Donetsk region’s Marinka. Over 10 settlements came under enemy fire.

In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near the Donetsk region’s Vuhledar, as well as shelled over 15 settlements.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing. The enemy launched an air strike near the Zaporizhzhia region’s Rivnopillia. Over 30 settlements came under Russian artillery fire.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue conducting the offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, gaining foothold within the re-captured frontiers, inflicting fire damage on the detected enemy targets with artillery, and carrying out counterbattery measures.

In the Kherson region’s temporarily occupied Skadovsk and Henichesk, the number of cases of acute intestinal infections increased. The course of disease shows signs of cholera. Russian occupation authorities do not admit the increase in the number of cases and make attempts to conceal the deterioration in the epidemiological situation. Covert vaccination against cholera was launched for the representatives of Russian occupation administrations and their relatives.
