Rescuers in Lviv are dismantling the rubble in two apartments of a house destroyed by a nighttime missile attack, where two people may be staying.

The spokesman for the State Emergency Service in Lviv region Vitalii Turovtsev said this in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Now the rescuers focus on two apartments where two people may still be inside. All forces are concentrated there," said Turovtsev.

According to him, the fact that the building is old and has wooden floors creates difficulties for the rescuers.

"All the structures have actually fallen down to the first floor. We cannot use all the rescuers to dismantle it because the space is very limited, and there is a threat of collapse of the structures above. Therefore, we are working in groups," the spokesman explained.
