Woman killed, four civilians injured as enemy hits Donetsk region
On July 6, Russian troops shelled Toretsk and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region with artillery, killing a woman and injuring four more civilians.
“According to the investigation data, on July 6, Russian troops shelled the private sector of the village of Novomykhailivka, Pokrovsk district. A woman and a man aged 56 and 57 who were at home were injured in the explosions. They were taken to the hospital with shrapnel injuries,” the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office posted on Facebook.
In addition, as a result of another Russian attack on the town of Toretsk, a grocery store clerk was killed. Two more local women received mine blast and shrapnel injuries.
According to preliminary data, the army of the aggressor state shelled the indicated settlements probably with artillery. Also, private houses, apartment blocks, and a commercial object were damaged by shells.
Prosecutors continue to take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces.
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations were started into the violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
