Mayor Klitschko: Over 170 civilians killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv since war started
More than 170 local residents have been killed and over 400 residential houses have been destroyed in Russian attacks on Ukraine’s capital city since the war started.
The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Kyiv TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“In our city, over 400 residential houses were destroyed and more than 170 civilians were killed,” Klitschko told.
In his words, seven children were among those killed.
“Putin needs territory. He doesn’t need us, Ukrainians. Thus, he kills civilians,” Klitschko added.
A reminder that the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) confirmed that 9,177 civilians had been killed and 15,993 injured in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion started.
