Russian drones attack grain terminal in Odesa region, hits recorded

Russian troops tried to attack the grain terminal of a port in Odesa region on the night of July 11.

Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said on Telegram that 22 drones were destroyed, two of them hit the administrative building of the port facility.

"At night, the terrorist country launched a powerful drone attack on the south of Ukraine. The enemy sent several waves of Shahed-136 attack drones from the Black Sea. Air defense forces prevented an enemy plan to attack a grain terminal in one of the ports of Odesa region. 22 drones were destroyed by southern air defense forces, two hit the administrative building of the port facility," Kiper said.

Kiper also said that the falling wreckage of the downed drones caused the fire at two port terminals, including a grain terminal.

According to the head of the air defense company, the fires were promptly extinguished, with no critical damage or casualties reported.

As reported, on the night of July 11, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces, destroyed 26 of the 28 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones launched by the Russians.
