AFU successful in offensive in two directions near Bakhmut - General Staff

The Ukrainian forces are conducting offensive operations north and south of Bakhmut and are successful in two directions.

Spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovaliov said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"In the directions Bila Hora-Andriivka and Bila Hora-Kurdiumivka (the Defense Forces - ed.) have achieved certain success, they are entrenching themselves on the achieved lines," the spokesman said.

According to him, the Ukrainian soldiers inflicts artillery fire on the enemy targets identified, and takes counter-battery countermeasures. The enemy is putting up strong resistance, moving units and troops, using reserves.

As reported, from February 24, 2022 to July 12, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 235,530 Russian invaders.
