Last night Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed 20 enemy loitering munitions and two cruise missiles.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, on the night of July 13, 2023, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine’s territory with 20 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones from the northeastern direction (Kursk) and the southeastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk).

Additionally, the enemy fired two Kalibr-type cruise missiles from the Black Sea and one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea’s Dzhankoi.

All 20 enemy loitering munitions were downed, mostly in the Kyiv region. Two Russian Kalibr missiles were also destroyed in different directions. Information about the consequences related to the launch of the Iskander-M missile is yet to be checked.

According to the Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire teams of the Air Force, and other air defense components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling Russia’s overnight attack.
