Threat of Russia’s terrorist attack at Zaporizhzhia NPP persisting – Yusov
The threat of Russia’s terrorist attack at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is persisting, as long as Russian troops are remaining there.
The relevant statement was made by Andrii Yusov, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, these important objects – Crimean Titan and Zaporizhzhia NPP – are under occupation. Objects were mined within Zaporizhzhia NPP and the Crimean Titan plant. The situation has not changed yet, and demining works have not been carried out there. The policy of blackmail continues. We will not say that a terrorist attack is a settled scenario today. But, this threat is persisting, as long as Russian occupiers are staying within these and other important objects,” Yusov told.
A reminder that, on July 4, 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that Russian invaders might be plotting a provocation at Zaporizhzhia NPP.
