Missile attack on Kharkiv: Prosecutor's office reports 1 killed, 3 injured

An employee of an industrial enterprise was killed and three more were injured as a result of a Russian missile strike on Kharkiv.

"According to the investigation data, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of an industrial enterprise in Osnovyanskyi district in Kharkiv city around 18:50 on July 16. According to preliminary data, two S-300 missiles were fired from the territory of Russia’s Belgorod region. So far, it is known about one killed and three injured – all employees of an industrial enterprise. The data are being verified," the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office posted on Telegram.

The investigation and prosecutor group collected material evidence and documented the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. A pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, on the evening of July 16, two explosions rang out in Kharkiv. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, seven people were injured in Osnovyanskyi district as a result of the Russian shelling. A fire broke out. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, three people were hospitalized. As of 21:00, there was no information about the killed.
