Russia wants to cause starvation, food crisis by attacking Ukrainian ports - Shmyhal

By attacking Ukrainian ports, Russia wants to cause famine and a food crisis in the world, and Ukraine is doing everything possible to prevent this.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy has been conducting massive missile attacks for a week. First of all, the enemy is attacking the south: the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, they are attacking civilian objects, residential buildings, and infrastructure. First, Russia disrupted the "'grain deal', and now it is destroying Ukrainian ports, from where grain was going to dozens of countries around the world. Russia wants to cause famine and a food crisis. We are doing everything to prevent this," the Prime Minister said.

As reported, Russia has been attacking the southern regions of Ukraine for several days in a row, attacking Odesa and Mykolaiv with Russian missiles, which hit ports, berths, residential buildings, and retail chains.
