Russians fire cluster munitions at Donetsk region’s Chasiv Yar
This morning Russian occupiers have shelled the Donetsk region’s town of Chasiv Yar with cluster munitions. Enemy projectiles destroyed a culture hall, which had been used as a humanitarian and medical aid hub.
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Rashists have destroyed a culture hall in Chasiv Yar, which was used as a local humanitarian and medical aid hub. The occupiers attacked the town at dawn, with cluster munitions. A fire broke out,” Kyrylenko wrote.
In his words, rescuers rushed to the scene but had to suspend works due to continuous enemy shelling.
The building of the culture hall burnt down. Some humanitarian aid and medical equipment was destroyed in fire. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
A reminder that, on July 22, 2023, four civilians were killed and 11 injured in Russia’s shelling of the Donetsk region.
