Noisy night in Moscow as authorities report drone attack

Russian mass media and Telegram channels report the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles on the capital of the Russian Federation, where the building next to the Ministry of Defense was damaged while another drone hit the Leroy Merlin business center.

Around 4:00, the Shot Telegram channel reported on the UAV attack on Moscow, which explained the sounds of explosions heard over the city.

The channel reported on the blast in the Moscow business center on Likhechova Street. Some smoke and a small fire could be seen in the business center following the explosions. The police soon blocked the traffic on the street nearby

Windows in one of the buildings on Komsomolskiy Avenue were blown out, the roadway was cordoned off by police. It is known that the building in which the windows were shattered is located next to the building of the Ministry of Defense.

As a result of the explosions, the roof of a two-storey building was destroyed on Komsomolskiy Avenue. In the building opposite, glass was shattered in the shop on the first floor and in the residential part of the building on the fourth floor. In addition, glass exterior was damaged in a neighboring house.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that "around 4:00, drone strikes were recorded on two non-residential buildings." According to him, there were no serious damage or casualties reported.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of July 23, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the very heart of Odesa. The Transfiguration Cathedral, House of Scientists, five kindergartens, four schools, and multiple residential buildings were damaged – all of those are under UNESCO protection.
