Russian invaders mine all bridges in Mariupol - mayor’s advisor
In Mariupol, the Russian occupation forces have mined all the bridges and erected defensive structures around each of them.
That’s according to Petro Andriushchenko, the advisor to the Mariupol mayor in exile, who delivered the news via Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"In Mariupol, the occupiers mined all the bridges and set up defense structures near each one. Now the passage through the bridges is limited, and the territory of the defensive structures is fenced off," Andriushchenko wrote.
According to the official, the Russians are thus preparing for the inevitable battle for Mariupol.
As reported earlier, Russia's aggression caused a major humanitarian disaster in Mariupol as almost 90% of the city was destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.
In Mariupol, local partisans put up Ukrainian symbols and leaflets calling on Russian soldiers to surrender.
The enemy is turning the city and surrounding villages into a military logistics hub, amassing their military equipment and setting up depots in the immediate vicinity of residential blocks.
