Syrskyi meets with combat units at Bakhmut and Lyman directions
Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited combat units in two active frontline directions.
The commander reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Due to the difficult and opposite situation in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions, it was necessary to adjust our plans, listen to the commanders, learn about their vision of the situation, problems and make balanced, adequate decisions," he said.
Syrskyi emphasized that it is fundamentally important for him to understand the needs of the commander and soldier directly on the battlefield and where the situation is currently most difficult.
During the trip, the commander met with Ukrainian defenders and presented them with awards and valuable gifts.
"After such meetings, our mutual trust and understanding that we are moving in the right direction, towards victory, are only strengthening," the colonel general emphasized.
As reported, in the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces forced the Russians to withdraw from their positions near Andriivka.
