Russian troops shell two communities in Kherson region, two injured

Russian military fired on Beryslav and Novokakhovka communities in Kherson region, two people were injured. An investigation was launched.

That's according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, Ukrinform reports.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war has been launched," the statement said.

According to the investigation, on July 28, at about 15:15, Russian troops once again fired on the civilian population of the Beryslav community. Previously, a mortar attack was carried out. In one of the villages, a 41-year-old local resident was injured by the shelling and hospitalized.

It is also noted that Russian troops, previously from the air, attacked the Novokakhovka community. A 57-year-old man was injured.

As a result of the shelling, private households and facilities of one of the enterprises were damaged.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian troops fired 28 times at Kherson region over the past day, firing a total of 181 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad multiple rocket launchers, aircraft, and drones.
