Death toll in Russia’s missile attack on Kryvyi Rih rises to five

The death toll in Russia’s recent missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih has increased to five. A 10-year-old girl was reported among the victims.

The relevant statement was made by Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Five people have already been reported killed in Russia’s terrorist attack on Kryvyi Rih, including a 10-year-old girl. She and her mother lived on floor 8, where the missile came in the morning. Fifty-three people were injured, including five children. Three of those injured are in grave condition. The killer country will be held accountable before the court for what it has done,” Lubinets wrote.

In his words, during the search and rescue operation, the damaged building collapsed. More victims may be remaining trapped under the rubble. Relevant works continue.

A reminder that, on the morning of July 31, 2023, Russian invaders launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih, having hit an apartment block and an educational institution. According to the preliminary data, Russians used ballistic missiles.
