Health facility hit as Russians shell Kherson

A health facility has been struck in Russian shelling of the city of Kherson. A young doctor was reported killed and a nurse injured.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson City Military Administration Head Roman Mrochko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“One of health facilities has been hit. As a result, a young doctor was killed, who had been working in his position for a few days only. A nurse was injured, and doctors are now fighting for her life,” Mrochko wrote.

According to Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Russian troops shelled downtown Kherson around 11:00 a.m. Enemy projectiles caused damage to a hospital and cars. The doctor suffered numerous shrapnel injuries and died. Information about casualties is yet to be updated.

A pre-trial investigation was launched for the violation of the laws and customs of war.

A reminder that, on July 31, 2023, Russian invaders attacked the Kherson region over 50 times. Four civilians were killed and 18 injured.
