In Kharkiv, rescuers dismantling building damaged by nighttime drone strikes
In Kharkiv, rescuers are dismantling emergency structures in the partially destroyed building of an educational institution that was attacked by a Russian drone last night.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"On August 1, immediately after the fire was extinguished, Kharkiv rescuers began to clear the rubble in the partially destroyed building of the educational institution, which was attacked by an enemy drone," the statement said.
Rescuers of the emergency rescue unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, together with rescuers from the Luhansk region, are dismantling the emergency structures using heavy engineering equipment and special tools.
According to the SES, about 20 rescuers and five units of fire and rescue equipment are currently working at the scene.
As reported, at night from July 31 to August 1, Kharkiv was attacked by drones, and Air Defense was operating in the city. A three-story building of an educational institution in the Saltovka district was hit, destroying two floors and causing a fire. Three more hits were recorded on the territory of a sports complex in Shevchenkivskyi district. A two-story building was damaged. A 63-year-old security guard was injured and hospitalized.
