Podolyak: Russia behind military coup in Niger, it part of its global scenario
The events in Niger show that Russia has a global scenario for provoking instability in the world in order to undermine the global security order.
This was tweeted by Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
“It is now absolutely clear that Russia is behind the so-called ‘military coup’ in Niger. It is a standard Russian tactic: to divert attention, seize the moment and expand the conflict. The support expressed to the rebels by representatives of pro-Russian Mali and Burkina Faso (where the Wagner PMC plays an active role) only adds to the belief that Russia has a global scenario for provoking instability to undermine the global security order”, Podolyak said
In his opinion, It's time to draw the right conclusion: only the removal of Putin's clan and sending Russia to the political rebirth can guarantee the inviolability of rules and stability to the world.
As reported, thousands of supporters of the military junta that came to government earlier this week in Niger marched in the capital Niamey on July 30, many of them waving Russian flags and shouting the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Before the coup, Niger was considered the West's most reliable partner in the fight against jihadists in the Sahel region.
Ukraine has condemned the coup in the Republic of Niger. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected any attempts at a violent, illegitimate change in the constitutional order.
