Ukrainian forces destroying enemy potential – defense official
Ukraine's defense forces are destroying the enemy's defensive and offensive potential so that the enemy could not seize the tactical initiative.
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said this on national television, commenting on the destruction of enemy air defense systems that cannot intercept Ukrainian drones.
"Our Ukrainian Armed Forces have the task of moving forward and liberating our territories, and the fulfillment of such a task is always linked to the need to destroy the enemy's defensive and offensive forces, so the enemy is trying to seize the initiative, because now we have the tactical initiative and we are advancing. But this is a shaky situation and it is constantly necessary to defend this status of the party that now has the tactical initiative. Therefore, our soldiers destroy their potential every day so that they cannot seize this initiative and put up as little resistance as possible. Because the resistance to our offensive actions both in the east and in the south is unprecedentedly high. And the fact that electronic warfare stations are being destroyed, weapon depots are being destroyed, enemy missile launchers are things that were supposed to fight against us, they were supposed to be moved here, but thanks to our Armed Forces, this will not happen," Maliar said.
She added that enemy forces are suffering heavy losses in all directions where they are trying to advance.
When asked about drones that attacked Moscow, she said: "The defense forces do not comment on this matter." In addition, she did not rule out that the situation in Russia would get more complicated.
"The fact that the situation in Russia is becoming more complicated is predictable. You don't need to be an expert here that the state, which entered into such a serious war, destroys itself first of all from within," she said.
Earlier reports said that several drones attacked the Russian capital early on August 1, one of them hitting the building of the Moscow City business center.
On Saturday, July 30, explosions rang out in Moscow. The building of the IQ-Quarter complex in the Moscow City business center was damaged in a drone attack.
