Armed Forces of Ukraine knock enemy out of positions near Avdiyivka

The Armed Forces of Ukraine knocked the Russians out of positions south of Avdiyivka.

"During the assault operations carried out by the defense forces, the enemy was forced to retreat from its positions in the area south of Avdiyivka," spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Pavlo Kovalchuk said during the United News nationwide telethon.

Kovalchuk added that the Ukrainian troops continued to conduct offensive operations south of Bakhmut. According to the spokesman, the enemy also made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions north and west of Klishchiyivka and northwest of Kurdiumivka. The Ukrainian troops also continue to hold back the enemy in Kupyansk and Lyman directions.

As reported, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units have hit 14 enemy artillery systems in firing positions, four electronic warfare systems, four command and control points, and a number of other important targets over the past 24 hours.
