Attack on Kherson city center: Number of injured rises to eight

The investigation has been launched into the fact of the morning artillery shelling of Kherson, during which three passengers of a trolleybus, one civilian who was outside, and four rescuers were injured.

“Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

According to the investigation data, around 07:00 on August 3, Russian troops once again shelled the city of Kherson. A trolleybus came under artillery fire. Three passengers and another civilian, who was on the street at the time of the shelling, were hospitalized.

"In addition, the enemy hit the territory of the city's architectural monument – the Orthodox cathedral. While putting out the fire, the enemy struck again. Four employees of the State Emergency Service were injured," the Prosecutor General's Office added.

Data on the number of victims as a result of the morning attack are being clarified.

As reported, the Russian army shelled a church in the center of Kherson this morning. While putting out the fire, repeated attack was launched.
