Ukraine not involved in attack on Russian ship in Black Sea - Military Spox

The enemy is spreading fakes about an alleged attack by a Ukrainian unmanned boat on a Russian ship escorting civilian transport in the Black Sea.

Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine Nataliia Humeniuk said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.

According to her, in the context of hybrid warfare, the enemy is deploying a powerful information front.

"We warned in advance that they were preparing provocations in the Black Sea. And this is one of such provocations," said Humeniuk.

She emphasized that there is no evidence of the attack, except for the statement of the Russian side.

"This is a provocation and fear-mongering against shipowners who want to cooperate with Ukraine," the representative of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces added.

On August 1, Russian media reported that Ukraine allegedly tried to attack a Russian ship escorting civilian maritime transport in the Black Sea with an unmanned maritime boat.

As Ukrinform reported, Head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command "South" Natalia Humeniuk said that Ukraine is ready for Russia to conduct a false flag operation in the Black Sea and will promptly respond to such actions by exposing them.
