Ukrainian Ground Forces Commander, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi worked all day in the management bodies and military units that perform tasks in the most active areas of the front.

Ukraine's Military Media Center reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

He noted that "on the Bakhmut axis, my work was devoted to the urgent problems of increasing the pace of the offensive, prospects for further actions, solving problems that prevent the successful completion of the assigned tasks."

"In the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors, together with the commanders, we considered the issue of adequate response to the offensive actions of the enemy, increasing the effectiveness of fire damage to the enemy, combating drones of various types, ensuring the actions of our troops," the commander said.

He also added: "Of course, as always, I met with junior commanders, representatives of the sergeant corps of the Armed Forces, presented awards, valuable gifts and certificates for monetary rewards to the best military personnel who distinguished themselves in the battles for the liberation of Ukraine."

"There was a frank conversation about all the problems that need to be solved urgently. To this end, I outlined specific tasks for the relevant officials," Syrskyi said.

The commander said that "amid continued active offensive actions of the enemy in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, our troops are daily thwarting their plans to break through our defenses, inflicting significant losses on them in personnel and equipment, reducing the offensive potential of enemy troops."

"In the Bakhmut direction, we continue to carry out offensive actions. Step by step, amid strong enemy resistance, our fighters are liberating the territory, bringing our Victory closer!" Syrskyi said.
