Ukraine not to ask anyone where to hit Russian military capabilities – NSDC secretary
There are no restrictions in place in Ukraine, and Kyiv does not intend to ask anyone’s permission to destroy the enemy's military targets.
That’s according to NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, who spoke in an exclusive interview with Ukrainian Radio, commenting on the drone attack on the Russian landing ship Olenegorsky Gornyak off the coast of Russia’s Novorossiysk overnight Friday.
"We will act as we deem necessary, firstly, to provide the world with food products, and secondly, to provide our economic component for our agricultural producers," Danilov noted.
As reported, kamikaze maritime surface drones attacked the Russian navy’s landing ship Olenegorsky Gornyak, which was based in the city of Novorossiysk (Russia). Despite the fact that Russia’s Ministry of Defense assured the public that the attack had been repulsed, footage appeared in the media this morning showing the ship being tugged, listed to the port side, with clear signs of damage sustained. Russia was forced to introduce a temporary ban on the movement of ships in the port of Novorossiysk.
