Invaders close Chongar Bridge, reverse traffic on another bridge - deputy

The occupiers have closed the Chongar Bridge, and the bridge connecting Henichesk and Arabat Spit is operating with reverse traffic in one lane.

Kherson Regional Council deputy Serhii Khlan said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The situation on the bridges: occupiers closed the Chongar bridge, traffic is stopped; the bridge connecting Henichesk and Arabat Spit is operating with reverse traffic in one lane. Military equipment cannot move, and mostly civilian traffic is crossing the bridge, but locals report that several armored personnel carriers are passing through," Khlan said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the damage to two bridges - Chongar and Henichesk, on the border of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

In the fall of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
