Ukrainian forces advanced in Tavria sector – General Tarnavskyi
Ukraine's defense forces have advanced in the Tavria sector in the last 24 hours, with Russia losing more than 170 troops there.
General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria operational grouping of troops, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"The work of the defense forces in the Tavria sector continues. There are gains and the movement continues," he said.
According to the commander, in this area of the front, Ukrainian artillery units conducted 1,475 fire missions.
Russia lost 171 soldiers in this sector in the last 24 hours, including 46 killed, 123 wounded, and 2 captured.
Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 3 enemy ammunition depots and 28 pieces of military equipment of the invaders, including 2 tanks, 11 armored fighting vehicles, 5 artillery systems and mortars, an anti-aircraft defense system, 2 drones and 7 vehicles.
