Missile attack on Zaporizhzhia: 15 multi-story buildings damaged

In Zaporizhzhia, a church was destroyed and more than 400 apartments of city residents were damaged in a Russian missile attack on Wednesday evening.

Anatoliy Kurtiev, the acting mayor of Zaporizhzhia, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"As to the aftermath of yesterday's missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. The church of the Ukrainian Patriarchate, which took a blow from rashists, was destroyed," he wrote.

The blast wave damaged 15 multi-story buildings. The mayor’s office noted that repots of broken windows and damaged balconies of more than 400 apartments were received.

Utility workers of the Municipal Emergency Service "Zaporizhremservis" and the city emergency rescue service eliminated the aftermath of the attack before 02:00.

Since the morning, representatives of social protection have been working with the residents of the affected housing.

As reported, the Russian forces fired a Kh-35 missile at a residential quarter of Zaporizhzhia, three people were killed and nine were injured, including an 11-month-old child.
