Russians shell Nikopol with heavy artillery, damaging hotel and power line
The Russian army shelled Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, with heavy artillery. A hotel, houses and a power line were damaged.
Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Today, the enemy again attacked Nikopol with heavy artillery. Hotel buildings were damaged in the city," the report says.
According to him, two private houses, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged. Local residents have not been injured.
Air raid sirens sounded in other communities of the region, but there were no attacks.
As Ukrinform reported, August 14 was declared a day of mourning for those killed in Russian shelling in Kherson region.
As of 17:00 on Sunday, August 13, seven civilians were killed and 13 were injured in enemy shelling of the region.
