The target of the enemy's night attack was the center of Odesa, and the missiles had to be shot down over residential areas.

This was reported by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint press center of the Operational Command South, on the air of the telethon 'United News', according to Ukrinform.

"The target was the city center of Odesa. The missiles had to be shot down right over the city, over residential areas. This means that the enemy was directing them there," said Humeniuk.

According to her, the port infrastructure was also under threat. But the Air Defense Forces did an excellent job.

Humeniuk recalled that the enemy attacked the Odesa region three times that night, using both attack drones and Kalibr missiles. "A total of 15 drones were launched in two waves of attacks and eight Kalibr missiles," she noted.

According to the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command South, all attacks were repelled by Air Defense forces. However, the consequences of the air defense and the blast wave affected both residential and administrative buildings, and two fires broke out. "There is information about three injured employees of the supermarket, two of whom are hospitalized," added Humeniuk.

As reported, the enemy attacked the Odesa region three times at night. The Air Defense Forces repelled all attacks. Debris from the missiles that the enemy launched into the center of Odesa damaged a dormitory of an educational institution and a supermarket. The blast wave smashed windows and balconies in several buildings and damaged cars parked nearby.

Fires broke out at two facilities. Firefighters are working to eliminate them.
