Odesa strike: 203 buildings damaged overnight

So far, 203 buildings are known to have been damaged in Odesa by the latest Russian strike overnight Monday, August 14.

That’s according to the Odesa City Council, Ukrinform reports.

"As of 11:00, 203 houses were damaged. A gym at Sports School No. 10 also sustained damage," reads the report posted on Telegram.

Regarding the destruction of educational facilities, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported that schools, kindergartens, and a development center were affected. A fire broke out in one of the hostels in the city center. The fire was quickly put out by an emergency response team.

According to Trukhanov, there are no casualties as a result of the latest attack, according to tentative reports.

The Odesa mayor noted that all those affected will be provided with financial assistance from the city budget.

"Our headquarters have been working since 9:00 this morning. They are deployed in all neighborhoods where buildings were damaged. In the headquarters, people are provided with assistance with filing appropriate applications to receive financial assistance. We can also provide construction materials for temporary repairs," Hennadiy Trukhanov said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russians attacked Odesa three times in the early hours of Monday, deploying 15 one-way attack drones and eight Kalibr-type sea-based missiles.

Seven educational institutions were destroyed, one of which is an architectural monument.
