Border guards destroy enemy kamikaze drone near Avdiivka using electronic warfare devices
Near Avdiivka, in the Donetsk region, soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine destroyed a kamikaze drone that Russian invaders used to attack with a complex of electronic warfare.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
The enemy drone with an integrated warhead was launching an attack when it was detected by the operator in the control lane of a special technical complex.
An electronic warfare specialist disrupted the drone's control channel, causing it to hover in the sky and turn into a stationary target that was successfully hit by border guards.
The debris of the downed drone fell near the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
As reported, at night on August 14, in the sky over Ukraine, the Defense Forces destroyed 15 enemy drones of the Shahed-136/131 type, as well as eight Kalibr cruise missiles and a Russian Ka-52 helicopter.
