Ukrainian forces advancing in Urozhaine area on southern front

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive, including in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors.

Spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovaliov, said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

 "The defense forces continue their offensive, in particular, in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. They achieved success in the area of Urozhaine, they are gaining a foothold on the achieved boundaries,” said the spokesman.

As reported, in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, the Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation, getting entrenched in the regained positions and engaging in counter-battery fire. Eleven combat clashes occurred in the Maryinka direction over the past day.
