Ukraine's president presents awards to 333 soldiers, 134 of them posthumously

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has honored 333 defenders of Ukraine with state awards, including 134 posthumously.

According to Ukrinform, the decrees to that effect have been published on the website of the head of state.

According to the documents, the military were honored for their personal courage shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the selfless performance of their military duty.

By decree No. 488/2023, the head of state decided to award 181 military personnel, including 114 of them posthumously.

The defenders were awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and the Order for Courage, as well as the medals "For Military Service to Ukraine" and "Defender of the Fatherland."

By decree No. 489/2023, the president awarded 152 defenders, including 20 of them posthumously. The defenders were awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and the Order for Courage, as well as the medals "For Military Service to Ukraine", "Defender of the Fatherland" and "For a Saved Life."
