Airstrike on Orikhiv: three policemen remain in hospitals and need long-term rehabilitation
Three law enforcement officers who were injured in an air strike on Orikhiv on August 12 remain in hospital.
Artem Kisko, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional police, said this during a press conference, answering a question from an Ukrinform correspondent.
In total, five law enforcement officers were injured in the attack, one of them died on the spot, and four others were hospitalized.
"Unfortunately, one of the guys died. Doctors fought for him for three days. The funeral will take place today. Three more are in hospitals, one is lightly injured, and two have undergone surgeries," the law enforcement officer said.
According to him, the injured will need long-term rehabilitation, as they will need to restore bones and tendons.
Earlier it was reported that on August 12, Russians launched an airstrike on Orikhiv. The bomb hit a street where people were standing. As a result, ten people were injured, including four police officers. In addition, a 31-year-old law enforcement officer died on the spot from the severity of his injury.
