Zelensky awards 130 Ukrainian defenders, 71 of them posthumously
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has honored 130 soldiers with state awards, including 71 posthumously.
The corresponding decree. No.490/2023, was published on the president’s website, Ukrinform reports.
As noted in the document, the awards were given "for personal courage shown in the defense of Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, selfless performance of military duty."
As Ukrinform reported, on August 15, President Zelensky visited the command post of the 10th Army Corps, which holds the defense in the Melitopol sector, and presented awards to the defenders.
